NBC’s The Voice will be getting a dose of Rihanna next season. RiRi has been announced as a multi-team key adviser for the upcoming season.
“We landed Rihanna to be the key advisor to all the coaches this fall,” NBC Chairman Bob Greenblatt told reporters during TCA press tour on Thursday. “This is one of music’s true supervisors coming on board to influence the lives and careers of the performers.”
Pharrell Williams and Gwen Stefani will return for the upcoming season, and longtime coaches Blake Shelton and Adam Levine will be back as well. Brad Paisley will be an advisor to Shelton, and Creedence Clearwater Revival lead John Fogerty will be Levine’s adviser.
The Voice season 9 begins Sept. 21 at 8 p.m. ET.
